Thankful Boards

As I mentioned earlier this week, we’ll be focusing the majority of our posts this month on remembering why we celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas, and giving you ideas as to how you might make this a more intentional season of focusing on Christ.  We’ve got some fun ideas coming up for ways you can bless others, ways you can intentionally decorate your home, and ways you can help to teach the children in your life about what the holidays are really about!

It can be incredibly challenging to remain grateful and content during this season, as it seems everywhere we turn we are bombarded with messages of why we “need” or “deserve” this or that new thing.  But if we know Jesus as our Savior, then we can always be content and grateful because He has promised that in Him we already have all we need!  So finding ways to keep our focus on Him and all the amazing ways He has already provided for us can be a great exercise during this holiday season.  I recently stumbled upon this great idea for remembering all we have to be thankful for: Thankful Boards.  There are lots of Thanksgiving crafts on this website, but the section I really enjoyed was the first section on Thanksgiving crafts:

They show four different boards (with links to the tutorials) that you can create and put up in your home that display those things you and your family are thankful for.  What a great visual reminder during this season!

We’d love to hear from you…What helps you or your family remain grateful during this season?  Leave a comment to share your ideas with others!

In Joyful Surrender,

Erica
