With Thanksgiving only four days away, there is buzz around the Sanders house of creative ways to use our favorite part of the meal…the leftovers! A few weeks ago some friends of ours made the most delicious Thanksgiving-themed turkey sandwiches we had ever had, and we’ve just got to share the recipe with you!
We don’t have an official recipe, but we do know all the ingredients (see below). For those of you who like to follow an actual recipe with accurate amounts, here is a link to a blog with a very similar sandwich (minus the sweet potato).
Thanksgiving Turkey Sliders

- Pretzel buns (or whatever small slider bun you fancy)
- Leftover turkey
- Swiss cheese
- Roasted sweet potato
- Cranberry sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
1) Spread each bun with a thin spread of mayo.
2) Top each bun with a few slices of cooked turkey, a small handful of arugula, roasted sweet potato, cranberry sauce, and Swiss cheese.
3) Bake in oven (350 degrees) until cheese is melted. Top with salt and pepper, as desired.
